Terms and Conditionsclcbookshops.com sell their products to you subject to the conditions set out below. By using clcbookshops.com you agree to be bound by these conditions.
1. ContractBy submitting a completed order form on www.clcbookshops.com you (the customer) are making an offer to purchase goods with us (www.clcbookshops.com), which, if accepted by us, will result in a legally binding contract. The contract will commence once we receive your payment and we confirm acceptance of your order by email.
2. Product AvailabilityAll products advertised on our site are subject to availability. Product specifications and cover images are subject to change, and any possible errors on our website may be corrected without any liability to CLC Bookshops.
3. PriceWe do our best to ensure that prices are correct at the time of going live on the web site, but on occasion they may be subject to change or error. In the rare event that the correct price is higher than the price displayed on our website we will contact you for instructions before dispatching the item.
All prices include VAT where applicable. You will be required to pay extra for the delivery of the goods as set out in our delivery information.
Although every effort is made to ensure that products are available, all items are subject to availability. Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other voucher or promotion.
4. Right of cancellationYou have the right to cancel your contract with us within 7 working days of receiving the order. To cancel your contract you must notify us in writing. If you have already received the goods you must return them to us at your own cost and risk and in the same condition as when they were delivered to you, sealed where applicable. When we receive the goods in the same condition they were in when delivered to you we will refund your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order - but you will remain responsible for all postage and handling charges. Any refunds will be made to the card holder who paid for the goods in the first place and will be electronically processed.
We reserve the right to cancel your contract with us if the product you request is not available or if we do not deliver to your area (see Delivery Information). In such a case you will be notified by email.
5. Delivery of Goodswww.clcbookshops.com normally deliver the requested goods to the address you provide us with at the time you make the order. If you fail to take delivery of the items or do not provide adequate delivery instructions then you will be liable to any loss or damage to the items. The approximate delivery time is quoted in the Delivery Information section of the Customer Service page. Upon receipt of the goods, you will become their lawful owner and www.clcbookshops.com will not be liable for their loss or damage.
If any of the goods that we delivered are damaged or faulty, or if the goods we delivered are not what you ordered, you need to notify us in writing within 10 working days from the date of delivery. Failure to do so relieves www.clcbookshops.com from any liability to you. Upon receipt of your e-mail within the specified time frame we will most likely ask you to return the faulty goods to us and upon receipt of the goods aim to replace the items or refund their cost including postage and packing within 5 working days.
If you do not receive the goods you ordered within 30 days of the date you ordered them, we shall have no liability to you unless you notify us in writing of the problem within 40 days of the date on which you ordered the goods. If you notify us in time, we will make good any shortage or non-delivery. www.clcbookshops.com reserves the right not to deliver to countries where the postal service is highly unreliable and where the likelihood is great that parcels will get lost due to the country’s political and economic climate.
Some countries impose local import duties. These duties are not included in our postage and packing charges and need to be paid by the customer to their local postal service. You must observe and comply with your country’s applicable regulations and legislation. The importation of certain goods to you may be prohibited by certain national laws. We accept no liability in respect of the export of the goods you purchase and the consequences thereof.
6. Your Statutory RightsBy law, customers in the European Union have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within 7 working days of the day after the date the item is delivered to you. This applies to all products except for the purchase of video, DVD, audio and software products where the item has been unsealed. To cancel your purchase within the seven-working-day cooling-off period, package the relevant item securely with a note stating “contract cancellation” and send it to us with the delivery note so that we receive it within seven working days of the day after the date that the item was delivered to you.
Please note that we cannot accept returns if you deliver them to us by hand.
For your protection, we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service. Also note that you will be responsible for the costs of returning the item to us unless we delivered it to you in error, or in case the item was damaged or defective upon receipt. As soon as we receive notice of the cancellation of your order, we will refund you the purchase price for that item together with the postage charge if applicable.
