Burns Family Studios presents its first motion picture on DVD, Pendragon: Sword of His Father, an ancient epic set in England. Set in A.D. 411 during the fall of the Roman Empire, Pendragon: Sword of His Father is the story of Artos, the son of British Chieftain Justinian the Pendragon. Justinian entrusts Artos with a vision to defend the people God has trusted them with. But after an attack by barbarian raiders, Artos finds himself as the sole survivor and is taken as a Saxon slave. Toiling under his Saxon masters, Artos is forced to flee. Exhausted and helpless, he reaches the end of his own strength until God intervenes. With renewed faith in God's sovereign plan he must journey in to the Welsh countryside to the mountain stronghold of Arfon, where the British ruler Ambrosius is planning a last stand against the invading Saxon hordes. Pendragon: Sword of His Father seeks to inspire Christian movie viewers with messages of faith, obedience, and courage. It is more than an exciting action epic, it tells a story essential to families and Christians today. The motion picture has been awarded four Dove Awards by the Dove Family Foundation. It also won ‘Best Family Picture’ for 2009 and two other awards at the Bare Bones Film Festival.
