CLC Service Opportunities

There are various ways to serve in CLC UK:

1. Short term worker – placement from 6 months to 3 years
2. Long term career missionary
3. Gap year placement or university course placement
4. ‘Taster’ placements – seeing if CLC is for you
5. Volunteer – offering your spare time from half a day upwards to help in your local CLC centre

1. Retail team member – Applications are invited for team members for our city centre retail outlets. Duties include talking with and helping customers, cash and card handling, stock control and display, and telephone enquiries, to name a few. Good inter-personal skills are required.
2. Retail manager – Applications are invited for people with management skills to serve as shop manager or deputy manager. Duties include all shop administration, security and stock control, team motivation and management, stock purchasing which includes liaising and working with reps and publishers, customer service, and much more.
3. Wholesale team member – Applications are invited to serve as a member at our warehouse in the Hampshire countryside. Duties would vary for each person and could involve stock control, selecting and picking customer orders, preparing items for delivery, handling telephone orders, and various administrative tasks.
4. IT and system management – A suitable person is needed to help with our growing IT needs. A good working knowledge of all IT areas is necessary, as well as good communications skills and ability to work with others. It is helpful to be able to drive, but not essential.
